Full Description
May 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A hut or temporary building dating to World War Two is visible on aerial photographs (S1)-(S2), centred at TG 5247 0834. The single-storey rectangular structure was probably associated with the civil defence of Great Yarmouth, and may have acted as an air raid shelter, temporary accommodation, or food station, for example. It was removed after the end of the war and no trace of it is visible on recent aerial photographs of the area, for example (S3).
S. Tremlett (NMP), 17 May 2006.
