Full Description
January 1986. Listed, Grade II.
Barn. Early to mid 19th century. Cob on tall brick plinth. Pantile roof. 3-bay plan with contemporary outshut to rear. Opposing central cart entrances. One doorway to east with a brick segmental head. Remains of timber putlogs or shutter stays protrude diagonally from angles. Shaped rafter sprockets. Hipped roof with catslide over outshut. 2 bolted King-post trusses with Y struts. Several re-used timbers. Later brick additions to rear. Included on list due to the extreme rarity of cob in East Anglia.
