Map

June 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of a curvilinear ditch, possibly forming part of an enclosure of unknown date is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). This cropmark is centred on TM 3118 9406. A curving ditch cropmark is present for approximately 80m on a roughly west to east alignment before turning northwards for a further 46m. At its northern limit the ditch either joins or is cut by a modern field boundary. It is possible that this ditch forms two sides of a curvilinear enclosure. However the cropmark is too incomplete for this to be certain. The ditch does not correspond to any field boundaries marked on the Hedenham tithe map dating to 1839 (S3). Whether this ditch cropmark relates to an earlier field boundary or an enclosure is not certain and its date is unknown.
