Summary

A World War Two structure, probably a sentry post associated with Earsham USAAF bomb store, is visible on aerial photographs. This was one of several such posts located on roads leading into the area of the bomb stores (NHER 43783, 41373, 43549-50).

A World War Two structure, probably a sentry post, was is visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). This structure was located at TM 3120 9220 adjacent to Earsham Road at Hedenham. It related to a dispersed USAAF bomb storage facility that had its headquarters at Earsham Hall (NHER 41375) (S3). The bomb stores were located in woodlands and alongside the roads around the hall. This structure comprised a small, pitched roofed hut and was probably a sentry post marking the northern limit of the bomb stores along this road. Similar sentry posts were present on roads to the southeast (NHER 43783) and southwest (NHER 41373).
