Full Description
Pre July 2006. Fieldwalking/Stray Find.
Worked flints found over the course of several years at Manor Farm, Bale:
6 flint blade cores, 1 flake core, 37 blades and 48 flake/flake fragments.
Although there is a lack of diagnostic pieces this assemblage the blades and blade cores can be firmly dated to the Early Mesolithic. It is an important assemblage as it provides further evidence for Mesolithic activity on the North Norfolk till plateau.
Identified by P. Robins (NCM), see descriptions and notes in file.
These discoveries are noted in (S1).
A. Rogerson (NLA), 12 July 2006. Amended by P. Watins
