An area of post medieval extraction, probably for clay, is visible on aerial photographs alongside the River Waveney (S1-S2). The site is centred on TM 4700 9712 and consists of a large water-filled pit, measuring approximately 60m by 40m and surrounded by a drainage ditch, forming an oblong enclosure. An elongated pit, 11m by 3m, with banks of upcast material on either side is also visible.
