Full Description
1948. Stray Find.
Found south-east of Hopton House:
1 prehistoric perforated quartzite macehead. Held by the NCM (NWHCM : 1949.49). Information from (S1).
These objects are not closely datable, quartzite examples such as this having been found in both Mesolithic and later prehistoric contexts.

1986 to 1987. Fieldwalking.
Small amounts of Roman, Late Saxon, medieval and post-medieval pottery. Also an unidentifed copper alloy object with hole. For details see file for NHER 24669.
