Summary

No 16 The Thoroughfare is an 18th-century two storey house of painted brick with a steeply pitched hipped slate roof. On the ground floor there is a large projecting Victorian shop front with pilasters, moulded cornice and blind case, and the shop continues around right hand return facing Union Street.

Listing Description excerpt:
"18th century. Painted brick. Steeply pitched hipped slate roof. Heavy umdillioned cornice. Two storeys and attic. Two attic dormers with flat heads and sashes with glazing bars. Five first floor sashes with glazing bars. Ground floor large projecting Victorian shop front with pilasters, moulded cornice and blind case, shop continues around right hand return facing Union Street, with three windows above, two blind. Brick chimney stacks."
