Summary

A pair of early 18th century clay lump and brick cottages with later alterations. The cottages were probably a single lobby-entrance farmhouse originally, and were later subdivided into two cottages.

Full Description

December 1983. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description Excerpt:
"Pair of cottages; probably a single Lobby-Entrance type farmhouse originally. Circa 1700 and later. Rendered brick and clay lump with pantiled roof. Single storey with attic. Mainly 20th century fenestration. One sloping dormer with 18th or 19th century casements with horizontal glazing bars. Full-length lean-to to rear."
Included for group value with Mergate Hall and 'The Dower House'.
