Summary

This house has an inscription dating it to 1714 in the iron tie-plates at the upper floor level, but could have an earlier core. It is constructed of red brick with a reed thatched roof and stands one and a half storeys high. The central doorway is covered with a small canopy on timber brackets. A small stone tablet over the door, though not fully decipherable, bears the name Ed. Melver. Additionally, later lean-to's have been built at the east and west gables.
