Summary

This mid-18th century farmhouse is of brick on a brick plinth, with a roof of pantiles. It has a flat brick string course and a gabled roof, and is two storeys high with three chimney stacks.

Leggates Farmhouse.
Farmhouse. Built in mid-18th century. Brick with pantiled roof. Two storeys on brick plinth. Doors right and left of centre. One original window with glazing bars. Dispersed 20th century fenestration in original openings under gauged skewback arches. Flat brick string course. Gabled roof. Three stacks. South front with burnt headers in chequerwork pattern. East gable with tumbling above pantiled outshut.

(S2) in file notes that as well as the house there is a barn, timber framed with wattle and daub, repaired in brick, probably late 18th century with later roof; and two stables of brick, flint and clay lump, one lofted, uncertain date but probably later than the barn.
