Summary

York House is an 18th-century house which was refronted in the early 19th century. This two-storey building is of red brick with a gault-brick façade, and has a roof of black-glazed pantiles. The gabled roof has internal gable-end stacks to the east and west, and the flint and red brick side and rear walls of an earlier house survive.

"House. 18th century, refronted early 19th century. Red brick with gault-brick facade. Roof of black-glazed pantiles. Two storeys. Three-window range. Central 20th century glazed door set within a timber doorcase with a plain frieze. Overlight with margin glazing. Fenestration of six/six unhorned sashes under gauged skewback arches."
