Summary

A Bronze Age bowl barrow known locally as 'The Mount' stands here. It is 26m in diameter, 2m high and well covered with grass. Visits to the site of the barrow in 2000 and 2003 found it to be surviving in good condition, with its state of preservation being carefully monitored.

September 1983.
In thick woodland, natural to east, planted to west. Good condition but covered with young birch and rotten stumps of
mature trees; one dead tree still standing. Star post later erected on site.

Good grass cover, some old tree stumps regenerating, these are being kept down by deer grazing. Should regeneration increase, regrowth with be strimmed and/or sprayed.
