Full Description
August 1972. Listed, Grade II.
Listing Description Excerpt:
"Around 1810-15, red brick, rusticated pilasters at flanks. 3 storeys. Three 4-light casements with glazing bars and segmental heads, at 1st and 2nd floors. Tiled roof, hipped, 1st floor band. Central entrance with Ionic pilasters and segmental pilasters and segmental pediment. "

The building began life as a coach building works and was converted to a memorial hall around 1920. The present blank arcading on the ground floor replaces shop fronts, but the tall pedimented entrance noted above is also a later alteration, as shown by a photograph of 1918 displayed in an exhibition in Dereham in 2007.
