Summary

Hope House is a late 18th century building constructed of squared and coursed carstone ashlar blocks with brick dressings and a largely black pantile roof. This two storey building has a regular symmetrical classical façade at the Market Place front. There is evidence of earlier 17th century work on the returned entrance façade at the west.
