Map

Includes former sites NHER 5275 and NHER 5259.

1953.
Bronze Age knife found.

1952-1956. Stray Find.
Various prehistoric worked flints recovered by F. Curtis in O.S field 320 (Curtis Field 95):
2 Early Neolithic leaf shaped flint arrowheads.
1 Neolithic (or later) triangular flint arrowhead and 1 scale-flaked knife.
1 Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowhead.
2 "harpoon barb", 1 "axe" and 2 other implements.
Listed in (S5). The triangular arrowhead, scale-flaked knife and barbed and tanged arrowhead were seen by F. Healy (NAU), the other objects were recorded in Curtis' catalogue. The "axe" is probably an object from this field that was subsequently seen by R. Jacobi and recorded in (S6) as a Mesolithic tranchet axe/adze (Coll. No. 395).
P. Watkins (HES), 22 September 2014.

Pre 1974.
Neolithic and Beaker flints found.

On north side of ridge. Sparse to moderate concentration of 'pot boilers' with rare bone and worked flints. Min dimensions 27m E/W x 14m N/S. Flints include an Early Neolithic leaf arrowhead.

Site FWL 158 (c. 6; TL 6962 9182).
On edge of ridge. Sparse to moderate concentration of 'pot boilers' with just a few flints. Max dimensions 27m N/S x 21m E/W. Flint possibly Mesolithic/Early Neolithic.

Site FWL 159 (c. 7; TL 6958 9175).
On north side of ridge. Sparse concentration of 'pot boilers' and a few flints. Max dimensions 29m E/W x
