Summary

The Cottage was built in the early 19th century, and enlarged in 1874. It is constructed of brick, with additions in gault brick, and has slate roofs and a double pile plan. A parapet was built in 1874, when the western portion was added, and there is a flat roof with two short gables bristling with single and double flued stacks. There is a similar timber fenestration to the east front, and the house has a two storey extension with windows copied from earlier structure.

House. Early 19th century, enlarged 1874. Brick, additions in gault brick and slate roofs. Double pile plan. Two storeys. Central 20th century door flanked by one four-light metal casement with glazing bars intact right and left under segmental heads and gauged skewback arches. Two similar immediately above and one two-light window over door under flat heads. Parapet built 1874 when western portion added. Flat roof with two short gables bristling with single and double flued stacks. Similar timber fenestration to east front. Two storey extension with windows copied from earlier structure.
