Summary

An early 19th century red brick school that was converted into a reading room. The Tudor-style building has an exposed king post roof and hood moulds over the windows and doors.

Listing Description Excerpt:
School, reused as reading room. Mid to late 1830s. Flemish bond red brick. Slate roof with gabled ends, deep eaves and verges. Small brick stack at east gable end.
Plan: Rectangular 2-room plan, central partition now removed; bathrooms heated from gable end stacks. 20th century outshut added on west end.
