Summary

A mid-18th-century commercial premises, now in use as a bank. The building was refronted in the mid 19th century, and has Doric columns framing round-headed windows.

Listing Description excerpt:
"Commercial premises and domestic, now a bank. Mid 18th century, re-fronted mid 19th century. Brown brick with red-brick dressings. Slate roof. Three storeys and dormer attic in 6 bays. Ground floor has a doorway to extreme left and a carriage entrance to rear passageway to right."

(S2) states that this building was constructed as a mid-18th century shop and domestic building. The caarriage entrance which originally led to the rear was merged with the interior was merged with the interior and the rear courtyard roofed with a steel and glass canopy, so that the ground floor of the earlier house is within it.
