Summary

An early 19th century pebbledashed and brick house with later alterations. This was formerly the Bentinck Arms public house, which ceased trading in 1954.

House. Early 19th century, much altered 20th century. Pebbledashed brick. Machine tile roof. 2 storeys and dormer attic in 3 bays. 20th century door in 20th century gabled porch. Mixed fenestration. Gabled roof with dormer. Internal gable-end stacks. East gable with 2 sash windows to ground floor with glazing bars. First-floor left sash is a horned replacement, its neighbour a 20th century casement.

This property is marked on (S2) as the Bentinck Arms public house. (S3) lists licencees from 1854 until closure in October 1954. It does not appear as a public house on (S4).
