Listing Description Excerpt:
"House. Around 1840. Red brick with black glazed pantiled roof. 2 storey. 3 bays. Ground floor 2 and first floor 3 sashes with glazing bars under rubbed brick arches. Central fluted doorcase with corner paterae, 4 part door part glazed with rectangular fanlight. Coped parapets and 2-end stacks."

The cottage was built in around 1850 and is believed to have been part of the Hastings Estate. The building is constructed from red brick with a glazed pantile roof. In 1867 a rectangular School Hall (NHER 56193) was constructed alongside the front garden in a complimentary style and the garden wall was extended in front of the hall.
