Summary
Human remains were ploughed up in this field in 1973. A skull recovered was identified at the time as being of "Mesolithic type", although this identification should be treated with considerable caution. Given the position of the site it is however entirely possible that these remains were prehistoric.

Full Description
1973. Stray Find.
Human remains ploughed up in potato field.
Site visited by E.B. Green (NCM) and T. Clough (NCM).
At the time the skull was identified by C. Wells as being "of Mesolithic type". This identification should now be treated with considerable caution.
