Full Description
Around turn of century a 'boat' was found in digging marl behind Carr House Farm. Informant heard it from old man on his death bed.
Site visited 1 September 1975 by E. Rose (NAU).
No pit here now; oldest farm workers had heard of the old man but not the boat!
E. Rose (NAU).
