Summary

This public house dates to the 19th century but has 20th century alterations. It is built from red brick and has a black pantile roof. A set of paired doors to the right of the centre have fluted surrounds. A carriage entry exists at the extreme left-side.

The Black Swan, Exchange Street.

June 1972. Listed, Grade II.
Public House. 19th century with 20th-century alterations. Red brick, painted at ground floor. Black pantile roof. Two storeys. Four windows and one blind window at first floor. Paired doors to the right of centre with fluted surrounds. Casement windows to each side of the doors with turned mullions and fluted pilasters. Carriage entry at extreme left-side. Deep fascia across length of façade. First floor sash windows with glazing bars beneath coved cornice. Two oval panels between windows.
