Summary

Nos 177 and 179 are a pair of houses in a terrace. These two storey mid 19th century houses are of red brick with a slate roof and have two brick ridge chimneys. The panelled doors are approached from steps.

Pair of houses in terrace. Mid 19th century. Red brick; slate roof; two brick ridge chimneys. Two-storeys; three first-floor windows, symmetrical. Steps up to part of panelled doors (No 179 with six raised and fielded panels) and overlights with glazing bars flanked by fluted half-columns supporting a hood with triglyph frieze. Windows have sashes with glazing bars under flat gauged brick arches.
