Summary

The house dates to the late 19th century. It is built of yellow brick with a hipped slate roof. It features rusticated brick quoins and a flat gauged brick arch to the door recess. The owner says that deeds are dated to 1872.

Listing Description excerpt:
"House. Late 19th century. Yellow brick; hipped slate roof; two brick chimneys. Two storeys; three first-floor windows. Rusticated brick quoins. Two steps up to six panelled door with plain overlight. Flat gauged brick arch to door recess below dentilled cornice. Canted two-storey bays to left and right have large pane sashes with horns under flat gauged brick arches. Brick cornice. Later single-storey rendered extension projects to left. Owner says that deeds are dated 1872. This property is not shown on Morant's Map of Norwich 1873."

The boundary wall, gates and gate piers of No 2 Lime Tree Road were separately listed Grade II in 1986. These are now recorded as NHER 68968.
