English Heritage Listing:
Highfield House, Chandler Road.
House. Late 18th century with large west bay added 1820. Whitewashed brick with slate roof. 18th century block of two storeys in three bays. Panelled central door in fluted case of two pilasters below hood. Sashes with glazing bars under segmental gauged skewback arches, some renewed 1962. Timber modillion eaves cornice below gabled roof. Internal east gable end stack. Original west gable end stack now internal following 1820 addition. This addition of two storeys in one bay, slightly rebated. One 20th century sash each floor. Hipped roof.
