June 2009. Visit.
Stripping of the interior in 2009 revealed that the west stack had a brick inglenook fireplace at ground floor, and smaller fireplaces above; the recess to the north has been walled up at a subsequent date. At the centre of the ground floor is a partition with midwall rail containing diamond mortices for a window, and an earlier door space; the ceiling joists overlap on top. The eastern stack has a fireplace (now reduced by half) having a stopped bressumer bearing a ritual poker-burn at the former centre. These details suggest a timber framed house with end stack, 16th/17th century if not earlier, extended to the west and heightened in the later 17th.
