Map

August 2006. Norfolk NMP
Cropmarks of two possible Bronze Age ring ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TM 3664 9314. The larger of the two ring ditches is located at TM 3661 9310. It has a sub-circular plan with a 3.5m wide ditch and an external diameter of 28m. The second ring ditch cropmark is located to its northeast at TM 3667 9317. It has a circular plan with a narrow ditch and an external diameter of 14m. A 4.5m wide gap, possibly a deliberate entrance, is present in the northwest side of the ring ditch. It is likely that both of these ring ditches are of Bronze Age date and that they relate to round barrows. They are situated on a small spur of land at 10m OD. Cropmarks of two other ring ditches are present on the same alignment 560m to the southwest in Ellingham Park (NHER 36362).
