Map

August 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A survey of BKS aerial photographs in advance of the RCHME/NLA Earthwork Survey identified up to two circular earthworks of approximately 20m diameter at TG 416 192 (information from the record for NMR TG 41 NW 35). These are almost certainly the ‘cropmarks’ (perhaps disturbed or trampled ground) visible on (S1)-(S2), centred at TG 4150 1927. These have the appearance of modern features, of no archaeological significance. They are similar, for example, to the circular marks typically associated with horse riding. Consequently, they have not been mapped by the NMP. They are not visible on aerial photographs of the site taken in 1995 (S3).
S. Tremlett (NMP), 30 August 2006.
