Full Description
September 2006. Norfolk NMP
A World War Two slit trench is visible on aerial photographs (S1). This earthwork was located at TM 4040 9232. A zigzag plan ‘seagull’ type slit trench was positioned adjacent to Yarmouth Road in Geldeston where it originally formed a junction with Norwich Road. It is likely that it was positioned to defend this road junction.
J. Albone (NMP), 06 September 2006
