Full Description
May 2006. Norfolk NMP.
Cropmarks of a possible rectangular structure and undated linear features are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TF 7393 3496. A rectangular positive cropmark measuring 11m by 6m is present on a roughly northwest to southeast axis. It is possible that this cropmark relates to a timber building or the robbed-out foundation trenches of a stone building. Linear ditch cropmarks are located immediately to its southeast. Some of these have an L-shaped plan and could also relate to structures. The date of the features represented by these cropmarks is unknown. However, no structures are shown at this location on 18th and 19th century maps examined during the aerial photograph recording.
