Full Description
June-July 2006. Metal-detecting.
4 Late Prehistoric flint flakes and 1 retouched flake.
5 Roman coin, 1 coin blank, 40 pottery sherds (greyware), 1 brooch (hinged Dolphin type) and 2 lead steelyard weights.
1 ?Roman pottery sherd (course sandy reduced) and 1 ?bracelet fragment.
4 medieval pottery sherds (3 unglazed, 1 glazed grimston), 1 composite three-part strap end, 2 buckle frames and 1 lead Papal bulla (Pope Gregory IX).
1 medieval/post-medieval vessel leg.
5 post-medieval coins, 1 coin weight, 2 pottery sherds (GRE), 1 tap fragment, 1 book clasp, 2 lead cloth seals, 2 belt mounts. 1 buckle frame, 1 dress fastener fragment, 1 lead trade weight and 3 buttons (1 silvered and 1 tinned/silvered).
2 post-medieval/modern musket balls.
