Full Description
October 2006. Norfolk NMP.
A cropmark of a possible incomplete Bronze Age ring ditch is visible on aerial photographs (S1). This cropmark is centred on TG 3452 1455. The northern and southern parts of a possible ring ditch cropmark are visible. The ring ditch appears to have a sub-circular plan with a narrow ditch and has an external diameter of 44m. It is possible that this ring ditch is of Bronze Age date. It may belong to a class of poorly understood large diameter but narrow-ditched ring ditches rather than being a round barrow. However, it is not clear if this is definitely an archaeological cropmark. It is situated on a gentle east-facing slope at approximately 11m OD.
