Summary

Metal detecting and fieldwalking have recovered a wide range of flint tools, metal objects and pottery. Finds include late prehistoric worked flints, Roman coins, a Roman spindle whorl, a Middle or Late Saxon hooked tag, medieval and post medieval metal objects and pottery dating from the Iron Age to the post medieval period.

July-August 2006. Metal-detecting. Found in northeast corner of field, square area searched with GPS reading at each corner.
15 Roman coins.
1 Middle/Late Saxon unfinished hooked tag.
1 medieval lead pot mend and 1 iron horse shoe.
3 medieval/post-medieval lead weights.
1 post medieval jetton (Numenburg), 1 buckle frame, 1 button and 1 lead cloth seal.
