Summary

Metal-detecting at this location between 2006 and 2024 recovered a Late Prehistoric flint flake; potentially Roman, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval jettons; a post-medieval token and a range of other, undatable and Roman to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include undatable copper alloy unidentified objects and lead weights; a Roman brooch and copper alloy hairpin; a possible Late Saxon/medieval scale pan balance; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval horse-harness suspension mount, pair of tweezers, leash swivel, probable binding strip from furniture, lead seal matrices, lead pot mends and a lead ampulla; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments, copper alloy unidentified object fragments or sheet scrap and a copper alloy ring and a post-medieval book clasp, clapper bell, copper alloy vessel handle, lead weights, lead window came fragments, lead bird feeder and lead disc (with impression of Nuremberg jetton).
