Full Description
October 2006. Excavation.
Excavation in advance of the creation of a new compound for work on Puny Drain Diversion Project (NHER 45464). Contexts 1-10.
A post-medieval pit and a large shallow depression were found. The latter was a probable natural hollow filled with medieval material, probably derived from the manuring of the land.
See report (S1) for further details. The results of this work are also summarised in (S2).
See also (S3) and (S4).
The associated archive has been deposited with the Norwich Castle Museum (NWHCM : 2016.78 and NWHCM : 2017.118).
J. Allen (NLA), 24 November 2006.
