Full Description
Engine House (Ordnance Survey).
Shown as windpump on (S1).
According to the late Mr Speed (see NHER 5446), recently been demolished; it latterly housed an early diesel engine.
E. Rose (NAU) 25 February 1981.
The latter statement suggests this is the 'engine house on the Little Ouse River between Shippea Hill and Feltwell' from whence came the possibly unique Vickers-Petter engine now at the Prickwillow Museum of Drainage.
E. Rose (NLA) 27 May 1998.
(S2) states that the Vickers-Petter engine comes from Southery Fen, rather than Hockwold.
