Map

November 2006. Norfolk NMP
Cropmarks of undated and possibly medieval linear and curvilinear ditches are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3110 1824. A linear ditch cropmark is present on a roughly northwest to southeast alignment. It is likely that this is a field boundary of unknown date. To its southwest is a curvilinear ditch which extends for approximately 150m between TG 3094 1826 and TG 3106 1819. It is possible that it forms the boundary of an enclosure that fronted onto Horning Road opposite St John’s church (NHER 8433). The curvilinear form and proximity to the church may indicate that this is a medieval boundary ditch. A well-defined dog-legged linear ditch cropmark present in the northeastern part of this field corresponds to a post medieval field boundary and was not mapped.
