Summary

The cropmarks of an area of post medieval building remains, boundaries and pits are visible on aerial photographs to the north of Belton Common Wood, Belton with Browston. These former buildings are marked on the 1838 Belton Tithe map.

The cropmarks of an area of post medieval building remain, boundaries and pits are visible on aerial photographs to the north of Belton Common Wood, Belton with Browston (S1). These former buildings are marked on the 1838 Belton Tithe map (S2). The site is centred on TG 4878 0129. An area of parched ground is visible within the location of the former buildings. It is not clear whether this is the remains of a former compacted area or yard or the actual demolition debris from the destruction of the structures. A number of associated boundaries are also visible.
