Summary

Metal-detecting between 2006 and 2012 recovered late prehistoric worked flints including a Neolithic scraper; Roman, medieval and post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval, medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval coins; a post-medieval token and Roman/Early Saxon and Late Saxon to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include a Roman/Early Saxon strap-end; Late Saxon strap and harness fittings and a stirrup; a medieval buckle, key, furniture fitting, seal matrix, spindle whorl and harness pendants and mounts; a medieval/post-medieval thimble and weight and a post-medieval harness mount, buckle, hooked tag, cloth seal and rowel spur.
