Map

March 2007. Field Observation.
A late medieval or post-medieval well was exposed during resurfacing work.
The well had an internal diameter of c.0.90m and was more than 2.30m deep and was largely constructed of flint and mortar, although some tile or brick could be observed within its fabric.
It was still in use as late as 1885, its location appearing to be marked on (S1). At this time it was probably a communal well, serving the properties that adjoined Zipfel's Court.
See short report (S2) for further details.
