Full Description
March 2007. Norfolk NMP
Cropmarks of two parallel linear ditches, apparently marking the line of a former medieval to post medieval road, are visible on aerial photographs (S1). These cropmarks are centred on TG 3932 1871. Two parallel ditch cropmarks, spaced 4.5m apart, extend for up to 78m on a southwest to northeast alignment. They continue the line of Malthouse Lane to the southwest and correspond to a footpath shown on the first edition 6 inch to the mile Ordnance Survey map of the 1880s (S2). It is likely that they define a former road or lane of probable medieval to post medieval origin.
