Summary

A group of undated, fragmentary linear ditches is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. The date and function of the ditches is unclear, and even their archaeological origin is doubtful. There is no evidence of any association with the Neolithic flint axehead recovered from this area (NHER 12309).

Map

March 2007. Norfolk NMP.
A group of linear ditches is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs (S1), centred at TG 3377 2865. The ditches are only visible on one set of aerial photographs and their archaeological significance is uncertain. They are too fragmentary for any date or function to be ascribed to them, although it is plausible that at least some were drains or field boundaries. There is no evidence of any association with the Neolithic flint axehead recovered nearby (NHER 12309).
S. Tremlett (NMP), 22 March 2007.
