Summary

The cropmarks of a ring ditch, probably the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, are visible on aerial photographs to the west of Hubbard Cottage, Catfield. Another possible round barrow is located approximately 150m to the southwest (NHER 49309).

The cropmarks of a ring ditch, probably the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, are visible on aerial photographs to the west of Hubbard Cottage, Catfield (S1). The site is centred on TG 3690 2161. This ring ditch was previously recorded under NHER 11669.
The ring ditch is 11-12m in diameter. The ring ditch appears to be bisected by a later double ditched boundary or trackway (NHER 11669). Another possible round barrow is located approximately 150m to the southwest (NHER 49309).
