Map

April 2007. Norfolk NMP
Cropmarks of a possible former medieval to post medieval road are visible on aerial photographs (S1-S2). These cropmarks are centred on TG 4166 0173. An L-shaped negative cropmark is present on a southwest to northeast and northwest to southeast alignment. The longer arm of the cropmark aligns with the route of an existing road, ‘Riverside’ and probably represents its former course. The roads appear to be shown on their present alignment on Faden’s 1797 county map (S3). If this cropmark does relate to a former road it is probable that it is of medieval to early post medieval date.
