Summary

Metal-detecting between 2006 and 2019 recovered prehistoric worked flints, including an awl; Iron Age, Roman, Late Saxon/medieval, medieval and medieval to post-medieval pottery sherds; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins, and a Late Iron Age coin of Roman issue; a post-medieval jetton and token and undated, Iron Age, Roman, Early to Middle Saxon and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. The metal finds include an Iron Age copper alloy unidentified object; Roman brooches; an Early Saxon bow brooch and copper alloy weight; an Early/Middle Saxon buckle; a medieval book fitting and weight; medieval/post-medieval buckles, composite branched candlestick fragment, weights and copper alloy vessel legs; post-medieval weights, a furniture fitting, buckle, key and an undated copper alloy casting jet.
