Summary

Metal-detecting at this location between 2002 and 2024 recovered Roman and medieval coins and a number of other metal objects, including Early/Middle Saxon and Middle Saxon Ansate brooches; a Middle/Late Saxon silver strap end; a Late Saxon disc brooch and harness fitting or mount; medieval buckles, harness pendants, thimbles, a zoomorphic clasp frame, mount, crest or gable mount from casket and silver finger ring; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments, a knife end cap and unidentified silver object and a post-medieval coin weight.
