Summary

Metal-detecting between 2006 and 2022 recovered an Early Neolithic retouched flint flake; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; post-medieval tokens and a number of other, Late Iron Age to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds included a Late Iron Age vessel mount; a Roman steelyard arm, spoon, strap-mounted terret, silver finger ring and copper alloy biconical bead; a Roman/Early Saxon military buckle; an Early Saxon Small-long brooch; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval harness mount and unidentified gilt copper alloy fragment; a medieval/post-medieval scabbard chape, copper alloy vessel fragments, lead weights, lead spindle whorl or net weight and lead probable bird feeder and post-medieval crotal bells, a spoon, thimble, end cap from scale-tang knife, rotary key, harness mount, copper alloy seal matrix and lead mount.
