Summary

Metal-detecting between 2007 and 2022 recovered Neolithic flint scrapers and flakes; a Late Neolithic polished flint axehead; a potentially Bronze Age flint knife; Roman, Early Saxon and medieval to post-medieval pottery sherds; a Late Saxon/medieval schist honestone; Roman, medieval and post-medieval coins; medieval/post-medieval and post-medieval jettons and tokens and a range of other, Roman and medieval to post-medieval metal objects. These metal finds include a Roman brooch and copper alloy figurine; an Early Saxon brooch; a Middle/Late Saxon brooch; medieval to post-medieval dress accessories; a medieval bell, harness fitting, copper alloy macehead and lead pot mend; medieval/post-medieval copper alloy vessel fragments and a purse bar and a post-medieval furniture escutcheon, crotal bell and toy cooking pots.
